Correct or Remove Phone Information

Ask RevealNames to review an inaccurate name, disputed report or private information. Learn what to include in a correction or removal request.

Use the form below to ask RevealNames to review information on a phone record. Select “Correct information” or “Request removal,” identify the page and explain the issue. Your request goes to a private review queue; you do not need to publish a community report to raise a privacy concern.

You can also use this process when a report needs context, a business source is outdated, or information appears to describe a previous user of a number.

What to include in your request

A specific request is easier to assess than a general objection to a page. Include:

  • The page address: Copy the URL of the RevealNames record or guide you want reviewed.
  • The phone number and country code: This helps distinguish similar numbers in different countries.
  • The disputed detail: Identify the name, report, source link or statement that concerns you.
  • The requested change: Explain whether you want a correction, removal or further review.
  • The reason: Describe what is inaccurate, outdated, misleading or inappropriate to publish.

Provide a working email address so the team can ask for clarification if needed. The form stores your request for review; it does not promise an immediate email reply or a fixed response time.

Common reasons to request a review

The number has changed users. Explain that the record may refer to an earlier association and identify the information affected. An older report can describe a historical experience without accurately describing the number’s current user.

A name or business source is wrong. Point to the incorrect association and, where appropriate, provide a public source that helps explain the issue. Do not add another person’s private contact details as evidence.

A report is misleading or includes private information. Identify the relevant report and the specific passage. Explain whether the concern involves an inaccurate account, an unsupported allegation, unnecessary personal information or another publication issue.

These examples help explain the request; they do not automatically determine the outcome. A name match or a claim to control a number is not, by itself, proof of every fact in a dispute.

Keep the initial message limited

Do not send passwords, payment information, identity documents or account credentials. The initial request should describe the issue without creating an additional privacy problem. Avoid copying sensitive information into the message when a page URL and a clear description are enough.

A correction request is separate from a public community report. If you want information withdrawn, posting it again in a public account can make the concern harder to address. Our privacy policy explains how private requests are handled.

What happens after submission?

The team considers the concern and the available basis for publishing the information. Review may lead to a correction, removal, suppression while an issue is investigated, or retention with appropriate context. We cannot promise a particular result or completion date.

If more explanation is needed, the email address you provide offers a way to request it. A submission confirmation means the request was received; it does not mean that a number page has already changed.

Where a removal or correction is approved, the affected public information must be handled consistently across the number page and associated listings and feeds. Copies or snippets held by search engines can take additional time to change, and RevealNames does not control when an external service updates them.

For more detail about publication decisions, read the editorial policy and data methodology. For a general website problem that does not involve a disputed record, use the contact page.

Include the page URL and what needs attention. Do not send passwords, ID documents, financial details, or someone else's private information.

We store this request privately for review. See our privacy policy.
